There was n. slight m-c-reaso in'values of beef, said mutton v,as very firm at lute rates, and-slight-ly exceeding the previous week's at the end oi ihts sale. Store sheep: Shorn two-tooth e\> es, 24s 3d; <?we hogets, to 33h 3d; iroocl shorn two-tooth wefliers, 24k to 29s sd; four and .six-tooth wethers (shorn), to 295; four and six-tcotu wethers. o9s od ; sound-mouthed ewes and lambs 21s [hi (nil counted) ; soundmouthed dry ewes (shorn), to 26s 2d. Fat lambs : 560 penned, compared with 511 last week, some very prime lambs l>?ing iciwaiu. For these demand was keen, light sorts being down in values. Extra prime brought to 38s 4d: prime. 30s 3d to 36s 3<i; medium. 26s 3d to 29s lid; lighter, 19s Od to 25s 6d. Fnt sheep: An average yarding, the biiln being shorn and the qual.ty good. Extra prime wethers, 57s 3d; prime, 48s 3d to 5o« 2d; shorn, 40.s 6d; medium, 41s to 47s 9a; shorn, to 425, 29s v 3os 9d; shorn extra, prime ewes to 71s; prime, ols to 59s 6d; shorn, to 42s 6d; medium, 37s to 425; shorn, to 37s Gel: lighter, 29s Od to 36s (shorn-: prime hoggets, 36s* to 435; lighter .to 35s 01. Fat pigs: A fair entry and keen competition. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on the Feilding supplementary cattle fair:—Our yarding consisted of 1300 head, comprising some nice station lines of young cattle. Bidding was very slack and a large proportion of the stock was passed under the hammer, a good deal being eventually sold at reduced prices. We quote:—4 and syear bullocks £13, 2-year steers £7 to £8/5/-, yearling Hereford steers £6/1/-, £6/16/-. to £6/11/-, P.A. yearling steers £5/5/- to £6/5/-, Hefeford heifers £3/17/- to £5, mixed Hereford yearlings .£3/1/- to £3 12/6, P.A. yearling heifers £5/5/- to £6/5/-, Hereford cows and calves to £9/10/-, coloured steers £2/5/- £i 10/-, to £4/11/-, empty dairy heifers '£4, £4/10/-, £5/5/-, £6/3/6, £6 16/-.
Sheep.—Fat shorn ewes 29/- to 30/1, forward cows 24/.>. (.rap'.y store ewes £1 to 21/G, 4 and 6-footh wethers 24/2, woolly lionets 2:)/3.
The N.Z. Farmers' Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report having received the following cable from London, dated 28th November:—
Wool firm; sales open Monday. Tallow very little demand for spot at present; market price about 2/lower. Beef: Price easier on account of large supplies on spot.
