WANGANUI HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
On account of the uncertainty of the we.itli3r, the time of receiving entries has been extended to 5 o'clock to-day (Thursday). A special class for best novelty cut •flower should be a great attraction, for which a prize of £1 is given by Mrs E. L. M. White.
The ro;e bowl presented by Mr W. J. Treadwell is on exhibition at Purser's Ltd.
The Garrison Band, under Bandmaster Trussell, will play selections afc the Drill Hall to-morrow evening to ?s----sisl. the Show,' and Moores' orchestra of 12 pla-y?rs, will assist inside. Members and friends are specially requested to send donations of cut flowers, vegetables, and produce for the selling stalls, and to assist the tearoom with cakes, etc. AH exhibits must be at the Drill Hall between S and 11 a.m. in time for judging. The Show will be opened by Mr W. J. Treadwell. president, at 2 p.m. tomorrow (Friday).
