There is a splendid and novel programme at His Majesty's this change, the principal film being "The Whirl of Life,", which features the two foremost American dancers of their time, Mr and Mrs Vernon Castle. ; Added interest is lent tb*e production by He fact that "The Whirl of Life" is the life story of the Castles themselves. Irene Castle is now a celebrated screen artist, while her husband lost his life through an aeroplane accident. Also on His Majesty's programme is a comedy item, entitled "The Jazz" which introduces "The Tickletoe," "The Fox Trot," the "Whirly-Whirly," and other modern dances. Educational and Topical films are included amongst the supporting subjects, while a novelty is the series of modern dances given by Theodore Trezise and, Liane le Fevre, who are graceful and artistic exponents of their art. Miss La Fevre is a New Zealand girl, who studied dancing abroad. She will be remembered as the solo dancer in "Kismet," Oscar Asche's famous production. Mr Tresize has been on active service, filled many important engagements in England prior to the war. After being rendered unfit for service on account of severe wounds, he was given the task of producing the performance of "The Kiwis," the famous Divisional entertainers. Intending patrons are stroEgly advised to book their seats at Upton's as there is sure to be another crowded house.
