One of Admiral Beatty's first acts as First Sea Lord, was to forbid the publication cf the official account of the Jutland battle, the preparation of which was ordered by Sir Eric Geddes, former First Sea Lord, .in response to pressure by Lord Jellicoe's critics. ■
