POLITICAL NOTES.

ALLEGED "GO SLOW" POLICY.

A "Go Slow" strike by the Union Company was suggested by Mr Holland (Grey). There were" a number of days last week when railway trucks were full of coal, he said. The miners were unable to work because no trucks were available and no ship was there to empty the trucks. Did this, asked Mr Holland, indicate that the Union - Company was running a "Go Slow" strike on its own account, and what action did the Prime Minister propose to take?

The Prime Minister said if Mr Holland would give him particulars he would be very pleased to communicate with the Union Company a« he had done on several occasions previously. There was a shortage at present of vessels suitable for carrying coal on the New Zealand coast.
