The Court to-day is hearing the case of Bradley v. the District Land Registrar, a special case stated by the Registrar-General of Land. Grants had been issued to certain natives from the Crown by way of compensation under Section 5 of the New Zealand Land Settlements Act. 1863. The claimants allege that they have been in actual possession for 20 years, and claim to have issued to them certificates o£ title. The Solicitor-General appeared for the Registrar-General and Mr Skerrett. X.C.. and Mr Cohen for the claimants.
