V.M.C.A. CONCERT.
Tho board of directors of the Wanganui V.M.C.A. are seeking to extend the usefulness of the association in its local work, and amongst its 'plans figures one for a series of concS'rts by high-class artists, the first of which wjll be given this evening in the V.M.C.A. Hall, commencing at 7.45. Several members of the male choir and other iadies and gentlemen ranking high in local talent have very kindly offeied to assist, and the concert should be a very successful one. A nominal charge of one shilling is to be made for admission, the money going towards the extension of the local work. The V.M.C.A., despite all criticism, has done its war work in no mean manner and with a fine spirit, as most of our soldier boys know, and the work to be done back here in New Zealand will call for a large part being played by the V.M.C.A. It is to be hoped that the promoters of this concert will have their efforts well rewarded by a good attendance.
