The Canterbury Jockey Club's Grand National meeting was continued to-day in real spring weather. The attendance was good and the totalisator handled £54,680, against £67,214 for the second day last year.

Won by a length. Time: 5.5 1-5.
Summer Handicap. — 4 Black Mountain (R. Reed) 1, 1 Pretty Bobby 2, 3 Glenshire 3. Also started: 2 Tama-a-roa, 6 Sisyphus, 7 Pabisco, 5 Imaribbon, 8 All Serene, 9 General Petain. Won by a length. Time: 1.44.
