THE ARAPAWA.
STILL AGROUND
(Per Press Association.)
AUCKLAND, August 6
Efforts to refloat the Northern Company's steamer Arapawa, which •stranded on Waitara bar on Sunday afternoon, have so far proved unavailing, the only result obtained has been that her stern was hauled clear from rocky boulders where she was resting. Tides are poor, and I further efforts at refloating will jprobably not be made till next week. i^The weather remains fine.
