LONDON", May 14

(Delayed).—The Berlin correspondent of the •■'Daily Chronicle" says that the newspapers claim that the Entente cannot fail to he impressed by the unanimity expressed in the Natioinal Assembly. The papers give prominence to the vehement phrase used by the Prussian Prime Minister, Baron Hirsch, to the effect that the Germans would rather be dead than slaves. Women delegates appealed to their sitsers in Entente countries to realise what the terms would mean for German mothers.

The Mayor ef a West Prussian town advised the citizens to go home, nack their belongings and close their shops, because fighting would start immediately. Others predict similarly.
