Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd. are in receipt of a cable from their London office under date of the 13th instant, reading as follows: —"Wool sales continue firm for good Merinos and fine crossbrerls. Faulty,wools are irregular and catalogues generterally were well cleared. Victorian greasy combing has reached ss.
New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. Limited, Palmerston North, report: — On Tuesdajr, 20th inst, we held a. sale of dairy cows on account of Mr George Gould, Taikorea. The cow* were an exceptionally fine lot and met with keen competition—the herd of 40 cows averaging £15 15s. Best cows £15 to £21,. one cow making as high as £40; medium cows £12 to £15; aged cows £8 to £10; harness horses £12 10s and £30; heif->i\3 in calf £7; 20-months bull £4 10s; weaners 30s; gig £49. Sundries at late rates.
