Peshawar advices report that the fate of the Amir's brother is doubttfnl. In some quarters it is reported th&t he died a few days after the news of the Amir's accession, but the !Afridis think he is still alive. It is stated that the Amir offered Nasr Ulla the throne, saying he himself was going to the Khyber front in the uniform of a common soldier. Nasrulla declined on the ground that the offer should be mcde to the late Amir's eldest son. Nasrulla also declined command of the Khost army. l '■ ~
