JAPAN'S FOREIGN RELATIONS.
A BITTER COMPLAINT.
TOKIO, May 12
The newspaper "Asnhrs" London correspondent, in a bitter despatch, says that Britain is thoroughly indifferent towards Japan. The Liberal and La!>our papers are anti-Japanese, and never refer to th'j necessity of renewing the Anglo-J'npanese treaty. The Brazilian navy received n more cordial 'welcome than the Japanese, who received b?t ter treatment in France and Italy. The causes which have changed the- British jittittide ar^ the Japanese alleged indifference, coupled with profiteering in war tiroi*, aggression towards China, and commercial rivalry witli Britain. Th© correspondent concludes that the situation is becoming intolerable. Britons in Japan hope tho despatch will influence thi» Japanese newspapers to discontinue depicting; Anglo-Ameri-ca as combining to dominate the world and denying Japanese interests. A ToUio correspondent says the antiAmericait campaign continues in the Japanese Press. Police prevented an tfuti-American - demonstration outside the American Embassy.
