ARAWA ARRIVES.

A CLEAN SHIP

CHRISTCHURCH, May 14

The Arawa, with a large draft of troops from Home, arrived in the harbour at 5 p.m. She is absolutely a clean ship and will berth at daybreak. The southern men leave Lyttelton by special train at 8 p.m. Major-General Sir Andrew Russell, who is returning by the Arawa, will be accorded a civic reception at Lyttelton and Christchurch to-morrow. He will also be entertained at luncheon by the Mayor and city councilors of Christchurch.
