A VIOLENT SPEECH.

BERLIN, May 12
Speaking in the National Assembly, Scheidemann made a violent onslaught on the Peace Treaty, describinc it as a murderous proposal. "The Allies are driving a knife into the living body of the German people," h* declared. "President Wilson, hitherto pictured as the bringer of peace, is now becoming a gaoler. He proposed a peace, which means the miserable enslavement of our children and our children's children."
