ST. JOHN'S SEASON CLOSED
St. John's Club formally concluded the 191fi-19 season on Saturday, when, after a pleasant afternoon's play, the members and visitors assembled in frcmt of tiie pavilion. The club's touring choir let themselves go in the rollicking chorus " B-B-B-Bowling," followed by the now famous " Battle Song of St. John's," after which the President (Mr J. Bail) congratulated the club upon the very pleasing and remarkably successful season which it was his duty to formally close that evening. Before they dispersed he wished to express on behalf of every member of the club thensincere appreciation of the kindly services rendered by those ladies who had, week after week, attended to the by no means light task»of preparing the ever-welcome afternoon tea. At the President's call, hearty cheers were given for tho ladies, for the choir, ond for the club, the proceedings terminating with the singing of the National Anthem.
JUNIOR BANNERETTE
On the Wanganui green, the Challengers 'Si John's) succeeded in winning the Junior Bannerette. 'Hie competing rinks and scores were:—
