HIS MAJESTY'S

"TARZAN OF THE APES."

loung Gordon Griffiths, who impersonates the boy Tarzan in Edgar Rice Burroughs celebrated picture. "Taiwan of the Apes," which is to be on exhibition at His Majesty's to-morrow evening is said to give a wonderful performance. He runs nakad ■ through a jungle, makes amazing leaps from tree to tree with remarkable accuracy, and puts up a fine fight with a gorilla. It is quite affecting where he first sees his handsome face and lissome body in a pool of water, and compares them with the ape at his side. As a study expressing latent instinct and a rapid stride in mental evolution, it is hne. tlmo Lincoln, probably the finest speciraen of physical manhood in the picture business, takes up Tarzan's evolution when he attains the age of 20 years, and much of the success of the play lis due to his physical and artistic abilities. H« strangles a massive Zulu, stampedes a^herd of elephants, kills a lion in fair hght in full view of the audience, and yet depicts his mental evolution with delicately subtle art. His awakening to natural instincts of human love, created by the feminity of the English ma.id, the first he had ev«r known or ever seen, is wonderfully well done, and an excellent prelude to the fascinating romance which follows. Fuller's Grand Orchestra will render the special music. The box'plan is now on view at Upton's Music Warehouse.
