THE SUBJECT OF RESTROSPECT-
IVE ALLOWANCES
(Per Press Association.)
AUCKLAND, April 24. On the subject of restroapeetive allowances in respect of the maintenance of the wives and children of soldiers on active service, the annual report of the Auckland Returned Soltiiers' Asociation says: The Government refuses to admit our claim in spite of the fact that the people of New Zealand are solidly behind returned men in their demand for full retrospective allowances. Confident in the justice of oui claim, we mean to carry it to a successful conclusion".
