A motion of sympathy with the Rev Porter in his continued illness was passed. < Reports were received and read, from Gonville, by the Rev t). McKieneie, and by the Rev Cnirney on the Apiti district, whicli district extends about 50 miles through the. bnck-blocks. Bir Fountain submitted a report on the work in and around the Bulls district.
Mr Charteris submitted a report on the FordeJl charge, and the Rev G. \V. Blair spoke in opt,imisiiic terms oit the same subject. Rev Miller, Rev Evans and Mr Wm. Bruce were appointed to arrange for the itinerary in May of the Moderator of the General Assembly. At the close, the Maori Mission Committee met. A plan was submitted for two cottage hospitals, one at Nuhaka, and one in Una's Country. .An a appeal for £2000 for this purpose is to be made.
