SURRENDER OF THE GERMAN FLEET.
AT HIS MAJESTY'S TO-DAY AND
TO-NIGHT
How well the British Navy has dono its work is shown in the film " The Surrender of the German Fleet," which is to be shown at His Majesty's Theatre this afternoon and to night, for the first time. The mightjy power of the "Silent Navy" is shown in grim realism as it stands guarg* over xhe surrendered German Fleet. .The scenes include details aboard the ships, panoramic views of the grey monsters, wonderful scenes from the air in whiyh the greatest battleships appear merely as strange sea-denizens, views of submarines in endless line, and, Above all, Admiral Beatty, with his* cap, as usual, at a, defiant angle. This is possibly the best photo of this popular Admiral fever taken. When one sees the array of U-boats, tied together' like. so many logs, it gives one an idea of the vast work the Navy has had to do. The German admiral is easily distinguishable as he makes his way .up the steps of that mighty battleship the Queen Elizabeth. The different expressions of the sai'ors on a U-boat are amusing a.H their pirate-ship is tied up alongside a British boat, and as our sailors take chai'go of her. Armistice celebrations in England, Fmrioe_ and Belgium are (portrayed. Tihe wik'.£»i enuhusiasm prevails and om; scene shows how the men break rank and surround the King. It is undoubtedly a historical picture of great importance. The big Triangle feature "Her Decision," starring Gloria Swanson and J. Barney Sherry, will also be shown. In between the pictures t-he results of the Licensing poll wi'l be thrown on the screen, enabling the numerous patrons to keep in touch with the results from all parts of tihe Dominion in comfort. Box plan at Upton's Music Warehouse.
