ENTERPRISING DESERTER.
Received January 22, 9.30 p.m. LONDON, January 20.
The organiser of a successful ball at Plymouth on behalf of seamen's widows and orphans, which the mayor and other local notabilities attended, was arrested by instructions of the Australian* military authorities, the charge beit. that he was an absentee. The rganiser wore the uniform of an Australian lieutenant and called himself Sir Norman Murray.
