AN INFURIATED CROWD

COPENHAGEN, January 20. After their arrest Liebknecht and JJoaa. .ijtixi.-:uuourg were" taken to a hotel at Aden, liie headquarters of lie Guard cavalry division. Liebknecht ai, lii-sfc denied his identity, but was searched and his identity established. The. crowd outside'were so jnturiatedi that they seized Liebknecht and souud_ iy thrased him. As the crowd increased, they forced an entry into the hotel, and the Guards aueuipted to remove R-csa, but the crowd threw themselves upon'her",' and'beat her unconscious. In this condition :-:he was placed in an automobile and driven away. The car, however, stopped at a bridge, where .i man jumped m and shot her through the head. The mob took possession ut the body, and its whereabouts is unknown. " Meanwhile, Liebknecht had been shot in attempting to escape. His captors hustled him into a motor tar. which broke down going fo Mja{y.t prison, where *he officers in command of the escort determined to take him pending the Government's decision. The officers asked Liebknecht if he wanted another car or preferred to wjilkT Liebknecht. said,. "1 will walk." He was brought down at fi few yards' range, death being instantaneous.'
