AUSTRIA PROPOSES ARMISTICE.
WILLING TO ACCEPT PRESIDENT WILSON'S PRINCIPLES.

NEW YORK, October 5.
The United Press' Paris correa^ pondent learns that Austria proposes an armistice on land and sea, and in the air, to President Wilson through the Swedish Government. Austria is willing to accept President Wilson's peace principles and to negotiate on the basis laid down in his speeches of January, February and September.
