A Freficli communique states : The battle on the whole* Champagne front is continuing. On the left we Hung back the enemy from the village of St. Marie-a.Py, advancing beyond it.
Xorfch cc the Somme we reached the bend of the National Road. Further east, after violent fighting, wo captured Aure village, th c plateaux, and tiie woods in the centre. Te carried Marvaux and progressed to the outskirts of jMont Moix, and also enlarged our pains north of Sechault in the region of Bouconvilfe.
