WANGANUI MINISTERS' ASSOCIATION.

The ordinary meeting of the above v,as held yesterday afternoon, there being present: Revs. D. Campbell (in tne c-hair, the president, the Rev. AY. G. AVilliams. arriving later), S. Jenkin, X. D. McKenzie, N Turner, D. Mackenzie, Chant. Blamires, Pastor N. G. Noble .and Mr. T. H Rix. Apology for absence of Rev G. AA r. Blair was received. The Rev. F. H. Radford, who is visiting Wonganui, was cordially welcomed to the meeting.

The question of Durie Hill Sunday services was furthe?' deferred.

Re opening a Sunday School at Cast'.ecliff. a satisfactory report was made by Mr Chant, and the Revs D. Mackenzie, Chant, and Bhimires were appointed a committee to further consider the matter.

It was reported by th c Rev Mr. AVilliam.s rlrat the sum of £15 had handed to the V.M.C.A.. and £7 16s *.l to the Soldiers' Xmas Gift Fund —the result of the collections taken up at the recent all-day intercessory services held in Christ Church.

It w'.is resolved to write to Mr Taylor (Kate secretary o.f the V.M.C.A.') expressing the association's appreciation of his work, and assuring him of a hearty welcome when ho returns xm AVnnganui. Re the War Anniversary. Mr Campbell inovert: "That we express our heartfelt and profound gratitude to the Great Goci of titles, inasmuch as Ho hn,-, proved to be a great and mighty Deliverer during; these four sad years of war, and we.humbly supplicate that He may see fit to continue to manifest His might and power on our behalf in our fight in the name of righteousness, and that ero long it may please Him to bless our arms with victory, so that in conjunction with our Allies we may be able to rejoice in a true and lasting peace." On tho motion of Rev Blamires it was unanimously agreed: "That this meeting of the AVanganuj Ministers' Association endorse* the programme- of the Prohibition Council, and pledges its hearty support to the. national effort." The secretary was appointed to interview the Borough Council ro Sunday afternoon bnnd concerts.

The President (Rev W. G. Williams) gave a veryaab o address on "The Signs of the Times/ as pointing to the Second Coming of Christ, for which ho was heartily thanked.

The meeting closed with the Benediction.
