CORRESPONDENCE.
JUNIOR CRICKET.
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —In your last issue, Mr. Thos. P. Souter implies that the Technical College cricket team had pulled the strings to "dodge" the cricket fixtures as drawn for Saturday's games. When Mr. Soutter makes charges against opposing successful teams, he is not usually to bo taken seriously, but lest we suiter, in the opinions of those to horn Mr. Souter is not known, through his publicly made accusations which naturally desires to play as against the Technical College boys, i should like to say that the change in the fixtures was not made in th 6 interests of the Technical College team, which naturally desires to play j»s many matches in the Junior competition us possible before the holidays, when many boys will be leaving. The change was made in th A interest of cricket as .a whole, and "by the President oiLthe Cricket Association. That it did not suit Mr. Souter, and that longer notice was not given, are unfortunate, but they axe no excuse tor Mr. Souter's charges of unsportsmanlike tactics —for which Mr. Souiter, 1 think, owes our boys an apology.— 1 am etc..
