— iSP— SYDNEY, October 30. The chairman of the State Recruiting Committee reports that on .the Government's recent basis 7000 recruits are required monthly. At the end of September New Zealand was sending more reinforcements for • her division .than Australia for her force, which is nominally five times greater. MELBOURNE, October 30. Mr Peacock, in a policy speech, announced that the dx o'clock closing of hotels would continue until a referendum was taken after the war. It was also intended that an actual majority should decide the No-license vote.
