"TURN TO THE RIGHT."

.COMING SHORTLY

The announcement thatj. and N. Tait have definitely engaged the Qpera House for one night only, on Thursday. November Bth, when their new comedy company is to present their latest success, "Turn to the Right" has been received with much interest in Wanganui. "Turn to the Right" is one^ot those clean, wholesome plays that one feels the better for after witnessing. Joe Basoom goes to New York, leaving behind him a widowed mother and a younger sister. He is forced by circumstances to spend a considerable time in Sing Sing Prison for a crime which he nevefr committed. He meets two crooks, known as ''Muggs" and "Gilly," with whom he becomes fast friends. Joe returns to his mother, vdio is on the verge of-selling the peach farm to the village Shylock, known as .Deacon Ti]linger. wlio ,has a mortgage on the pla<*;. Joe's arrival is opportune, and the unexpected appearance of his two former '"pals" frustrates the Deacon's schemes. Various complications, of a most amusing nature, ensue, and there is a great deal of comedy rrer the peach orchard, which is realistically scenically produced by Messrs. J.'and N. Tait. Mr. Winchel'l Smith is the successful author of this remarkably •successful play. The box plan opens at'H. I. Jones' on Tuesday nexi, Nov. 6th.

A patriotic dan^e is to be held in the "Wangaehu Hall to-morrow' (Thursday) evening. A very pleasant evening is assured.

The Municipal Concert, to be given by the Queen Alexandra Regimental Band, in the Queen's Park Rotunda, next Sunday afternoon, commencing at 3 o'clock, will no doubt attract another large audience. Lieut. Buckley has a very fine programme prepared, consisting of nearly all new items. There will be no collection.
