A COMMANDING SITUATION,
(Reuter.) Received October 25, 8.20 p m 'LONDON, October 25. A correspondent" at the French Headquarters says: The strategic ■intention of the high command in the Aisne battle is to finally and completely thrust the enemy off the crest line We now hoid practically the entire line of the crest between Craonne and Vauxillon, and in addition have got a commanding view of the Ailette Valley from end to end, also a view up the Ardon Valley, at the head of which stands Laon, and . a view northward across the plain o/rer the enemy communication to Anizy, in the upper Concv Forest.
