FEILDING SALE.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report on their Feilding sale on the 21st inst. as jfollows:— A good entry of sheep and an exceptionally large yarding of cattle came to hand, including some special entries. Although at auction sheep were not keenly competed for, the bulk of the yarding changed hands (later in the day. Cattle met with keenest competition, and our entries, which comprised a number of lines of wellbred cattle, sold as below:— Sheep: Fat and forward ewes 28s 6d; small wether boggets 19s 7d: fair wether hoggets 26s 4d; ewe Wggets 29s 6d. Cattle: Small mixed yearlings h'2 16s; mixed yearlings £4 17s to £5 6s; rough 2s: year steers £9 14s; empty cows £9 12s to £9 17s; empty heifers £6 Is; light fat cows £14. Special Lines. — 1-year Hereford steers £10 18s; 1-year S.H. yearling steers £10 Is; yearling P.A. steers £10 Is; yearling P.A. heifers £9 16s; yearling S.H. heifers £9; yearling Hereford heifers £9 10s; 2-year empty Hereford heifers £11 10s; 2-year Hereford heifers r.w. P.A. bull, £12; 2-year S.H. steers £1.2 17s ;• 4-year bullocks £15; empty run cows £11 10s; 3-year S.H. bulls £1.0 to £27; 4-year S.H. bulls £26 10s; yearling-P.A. bulls £12.
