Of course you're going; but be wiso. and book light now, as a packed house is already assured. A feature of this concert will be the violin solos by Mr Ohas. Sehilslry, visiting examiner to the Trinity College of Music, London, who also bas very kindly consented conduct the orchestra. Lxi addition to other numbers, the orchestra will play a very beautiful selection from Puccini's "La Boheme," and six delightful characteristic dances by Para-kowski. The orchestra play these numbers specially well. There will also be quite a lot of chamber music, comprising quartettes, trios, etc. Plan at H. 1. -Jones and Son's.
Mrs Lee-Cowie held her last meeting in 'St. Andrew's Church 011 Sunday night. Rev. D. Campbell presided over a, splendid congregation. The ladylecttirer spoke again in no uncertain tone, urging her hearers to join with her in tJie " Strength of the Nation Movement." Many new members for tho local unions were secured during the evening. Mrs Cowie, accompanied by Mrs J. Upton (secretary W.C.T.U.) and Mr W. G. Baseett (N.Z. Alliance) visited the Eastown Workshops during the men's dinner hour, and had a good hearing. Her Sunday meetings also were most successful. At the afternoon meeting over 200 young people between the ages of 16 and 21 signed the pledge-card. Mrs Lee-Cowie's visit to Wangauui has been a wonderful success, her forcefulness of speech, and character impressing all. She left for Levin by tho mail train yesterday.
