WAR WORK.
. A meeting of horticultural enthusiasts was held at the -sub-centre rooms oi the New Zealand and British B-d Cross Society last evening, when it was decided to hold a spring flower and bulb show in the Christ Church Sunday bchoolroom en September 12th in aid of the Red Cross funds. A strong committee was set up, and it is hoped that those with, flowers- will lespond to the effort made .for the good cause. A class for decorative tables, home-made sweets and cooking will be included. The Garrison Band hav e promised their assistajice. The details will be announced later.
An anonymous donation of £10 has been• received for Red Cross Day, and the total now stands at £328.
