DEATH AT A POLICE STATION.

On Saturday afternoon a man named Weor femgh, a native of India, was arrested, for drunkenness at the railway station, and was lodged in the cells at the xalmerston police station. The prisoner was visited during the day and appeared in his usual health and spirits, but at about 6 p.m. he told a ie low-prJ&oner. named Smith, that ho velt tired. He then retired to bed and wont to sleep immediately, but at 9..T0 p.m. Sergt. Henry, when Visitinothe prisoners, found the man dead. The deceased was 52 years of age, and up to the time of his death, had been employed as a labourer at Mr Craw's flaxunll at Linton.
