Received August 20, 10.15 p.m. LONDON.. August *0. Wireless German official.—Southward of Langeniarck the enemy attacked, using tanks enveloped in an artificial fog. After initial penetration of our lines the enemy were everywhere repulsed.

There has been most intense artillery fire on the La Basse Canal, at Lens and southward of the Searpe. We brought down nineteen aeroplanes.
