HUNGARIAN CRISIS.

THE PREMIER RESIGNS.

Received August 20, 10.18 ihm LONDON, August SO

The "Daily Telegraph's' 'Milftu correspondent says Count Esterliazy has resigned the Hungarian Pr-jraior^ ship. Buda Pest newspapers announce that Count Andrassy tr,s succeeded him. Though the crisis is ostensibly due to electoral reforvi, the dispute is really attributable to a vital difference on the question of ;peace v. war. Count Esterhazy Vainly tried to reconcile the views of the Karolvs and Tisza sections. The latter demanded vigorous prosecution of the war and the former favoured an early peace by a compromise and rapprochement with England and internal demoeraiisa;tion. Esterhazy sought a t.j ird course, by promising autonomy to ■-■the subject nationalities o£ the Kingdom.
