", Mr Wilton reports that awek agi the Soldiers and -Workmen's Councjl, on the pretext of anxfiety regarding a counter-resolution, decided to arrest all the members of the Duma, Executive Committee, and members of the Provisional Government. They sent soldiers to Tauris Palace, where the guard curtly sarid: You want to arrest the - Duma? Not much!" The Council's mandatories retired crestfallen. Anxious to restore their prestige, the Council then sent 150 soldiers to Harakoeselo to arrest the ex-Czar. The guards laughed at them, but agreed to allow them to have a glimpse at Colonel Romanoff (the ex-Csar's new title), walking in the growute.
