Tlie Borough Council last night set up a committee to make inquiries regarding the starting of a municipal bakery, and also decided to call onj the Goyerninent to establish refrigerating stores at T© Awamutu, Te Kuiti, and Taumarunui, to send' meat and fish by rail for country consumption, charging tlie local butchers Government prices, and also to inquire about stari> ing a municipal milk supply, with a view to reducing the cost of living.
