A GUIDE FOR HANDICAPPERS

SYDNrY, February 8. The Owners' and Trainers' Association propose suggesting to the Jockey Club that it. issue a regulation compelling owners to give the last two performances with a horse's entry when coming before a handicapper for the first time, in order to obviate the possibility of a handicapper wrongly dealing with such horses. This applies particularly to other States and New Zealand. The advocates of the proposed rule assert that Sasanoff would not have been handicapped at 6.11 in the Melbourne Cup if the handicapper had known of his last two performances, when he captured a good weight-for-age race at Hawke's [Bay.
