THE SALONIKA CAMPAIGN.

THE ALLIES' AIMS. < LONDON, Jan. 16. Mr Ward Price, writing from Salonika, and answering the question as to what we are doing at Salonika, says that the object is to first cut the BerlinBagdad railway and sever German connection with her Eastern allies* also to refashion the Balkans and thwart German schemes. If the Germans had reached Salonika, they would have built a Mediterranean 'Kiel, and\Egypt would have been threatened by a fleet as strong as that in the North Sea.' By re-establishing Servia we shall fulfil our duty to our Ally and build a Slav dam across the tide-way of German ambitions.
