NORMA TALMADGE IN "MARTHA'S VINDICATION," AT EVERYBODY'S.
Norma Talmadge, whose success as tk & heroins in that grand pictureplay "The Battle Cry ot Peace," will be well remembered, reappears to-day at Everybody's Theatre in her latest remarkable creation of "Martha," the central character in the Triangle Fine Arts Corporation's pronouncedly successful drama in five acts "Martha's Vindication." The plot and the acting, the mountings and settings in "Martha's Vindication" are recognised as being of tne highest standard. The play has achieved conspicuous popularity, ihe drama is. of emotional ordar that appeals so much to all classes of picture patrons. The story in brief shows how Martha's sister has loved unwisely and her sweetheart is lulled in a motor accident before-he: can redeem his promiss of/marriage. To'conceal her sister s shame, Martha takes th« child and plaoes it witn a nurse. In after years circumstantial evidence points to her as the mother of the child. Her sister has married a church dignitary, so Martha keeps silence and rests" under tne stigma, until • the - child, like its rather, is killed in an accident. The mother's feelings then overcome her and she screams forth tne truth that vindicates her noble sister.
