WORLD'S PRESS CONFERENCE.

Received December 20, 10.15 p.m SYDNEY, December 20.

Hon. Holman, in reply to the Journalists' Institute, points out that the Press Congress is an international organisation, the construction providing for a meeting every three years. If it is not held in Australia in 1918, it will be held somewhere else that year. As a result, Australia is not likely to secure a similar meeting for many years. In view of the immense advantage acrcruing from the meeting, he cbuliT not see thai any conditions had yet arisen to ' justify the New South Wales Government repudiating the invitation to the conference to meet in Sydney. He was assured that Allied countries in any circumstances would he well represented.
