WHAT A TONIC IS FOR.
The word tone, as applied to the human system, implies t|iat the various organs of the body are performing their functions naturally and well. When any of the functions x are impaired they are said to be 'out of tone." Tonics are those medicines which restore tone. There are various tonics to act on particujlar organs, but undoubtedly the favourite tonic of medical- men, the one suitable for the greatest number of cases, is one which acts oipon the blood. . The blood reaches every part of the body and when it is built up the whole system quickly benefits.
Dr. Williams' Pink Pills are a nonalcoholic tonic that builds up the blood, making it rich and red and able to supply to the tissues of the b6dy the nourishment they need to keep them in health.
