' '. NEW YORK, July 21. Investigations indicate the existence of gigantic graft by the New York police and white slavers. The grand jury returned indictments against five detectives charged with bribery. All were attached to the Tenderloin district, v\ here they had been engaged to tight the white slayers. The prosecutor promised startling disclosures. The investigation is the outcome of a grand ball, for which the Tenderloiners were compelled to purchase large blocks of tickets. It is alleged the police participated in the proceeds.
