Corpl. H. M. Douglas spent the weekend Jn Wangamu. ' , Mr and Mrs 11. T. Batley, of Moawhango, have received the Bad intelligence that their youngest son, Norir.an, who went away with the Tenth Reinforcements, was kiled in action in France on the 10th inrt. Throughout the district sincere sympathy will be felt for the bere ived f ne sorrowing parents . < The casualty list published this morning contains the name of Sergeant Jfl. R. T&lboys, a brother of Mr. F. P. Talboys, Tramways engineer, Wanganw. Much sympathy will be extended to Mr. Talboys. Deceased went away with the Eleventh Reinforcements.
