EASTOWN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
The 12th annual meeting of the congregation was held m the church on Wednesday evening last. The Rev G. W. Blair presided. The reports bespoke an excellent standard of proficiency attained in the Sunday School, Bible Class, Choir, Ladies' Guild, and the Band of Hope Brigade. Special reference was made to the " Forward Movement*' in having the church raised from a Home Mission station to a fully sanctioned charge, and the unaninibus satisfaction expressed in the appointment of the Rev. G. W. Blair as first minister under the new regime. The reading of the various reports was entrusted to the following : Session report, Mr Brown; managers' report, Mr W. J. Cuttle (church secretary) ; treasurer's report, Mr Brown ; Sunday School (superintendent. Mr Cattle) ; choir, Mr F. Marshal1: Ladies' Guild, Mr. Cuttle (for Mrs. Kay). The Chairman in a few words of encouragement paid a. tribute to the unceasing energy displayed in all departments of the work of the church. He bespoke help and prayers for assistance in his ministerial duties. Feeling, as he did, that he could command their personal sympathy, he had no hesitation regarding the future prospects of the church..
A short musical programme was submitted, and met with much acceptance. A gathering of tin's kind its not coplete without "the cup that cheers," and these peasant duties wen; entrusted to the members of the Ladies' Guild.
A bright and happy meeting terminated with the Benediction.
