"THE CHRISTIAN."

Those who have read Hall Caine'B book "The Christian," will no doubt be pleased to linear that the story has been kinematogrp.phed by the London Film Companj-, and that they have an opportunity to renew their acquaintance with the characters of this celebrated story in picture version, which will be presented at His Majesty's Theatre on Monday evening. Few characters in fiction are better known than that of John Storm. Mr. Derwenfc Hall Came, the author's son, takes this part and has contrived faithfully to reproduce for the screen the conception of a character which is so familiar. The concluding scenes have in them much that is pathetic and solemn. The acting is excellent and the mounting of the picture magnificent. Scenes of life in the slums of London are realistically shown and the whole production goes to show the state of perfection to which the art of kinematography has been brought. Every incident or the play is personally supervised by the auther, who has left nothing to be c'.t>sired. Trie management announce that there will be no rise in the prices for this production, but patrons desirous of s,eeing "The Christian" are advised to reserve their seats at Allden s Book Store, the Avenue, or theatre. Special appropriate music by, Fuller s Orchestra accompanies the picture.
