(Per Press Association.! . . .WELLINGTON, June 27. ' Mis Excellency the Governor has received telegrams from the Secvstari-s ot. State, for War, and the Colonies advising the. New Zealand Government that the Imperial Government has decided that all New Zealand troops -at present serving in France who may Wsick or wounded will be evacuated r,o the United Kingdom. In cases where nien are riot able to return to the iiriag line they will be sent back to iVew Zealand by hospital ships or transport. In respect to the New Zealand troops who are serving in Egypt and who may 1)0 sick or wounded, these will also be ayacuated to the United Kingdom in cases where they arc likely to suffer from, the climate or require .special treatment. * ■ The Governor has been in correspondence both with Secretary of State for the Colonies and with ihe N.Z. War Contingent Association, and after discussion with the Right Hon. the Prime Minister and the Hon. the Minister »f Defence it is suggested that so far as the N.Z. troops in France are concerned, it appears that the servir-es of the N.Z. War Contingent Association would be the best channel to utilise for, distribution of giits for tho men in the firing line and Red Cross goods. This Association will have the opportunity of receiving th,e advice of Bri-gadier-General Richardson (who commands all Now Zealand troops m the United- Kingdom) and of the general officer commanding the Australasian troops in the 'Held, who will advise ns
