(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, October 7. Strong easterly and south-easterly winds have predominated and cold Unsettled weather has been experienced with rain generally. The barometer has been very high southward of Cook Strait, but low pressure'has ruled; to the northward of the Dominion. Forecast.—^Present indications are. for a continuance of unsettled cold and misty conditions with rain generally and rivers rsing, especially m iu3 Northern ,and East Coast districts. Expect strong easterly winds and an unsteady barometer.
