SALONIKA, Oct. 1. The Germans are employing thirty thousand men to strengthen the Chntaldja forts in four parallel lines. Rr.ilways connecting the. forts have also been constructed, and ditches and ccnals to enable the flooi'.ng of the pl.vns outside if necessary.
