"HEARTS ADRIFT."
To-night's chief attraction at His Majesty's Theatre will be the re-ap-pearance of the great motion picture j favourite, Mary Pickford, in her most recent dramatic success, "Hearts j Adrift." The story (which is in 3 | acts), tells how Nina, a twelve-year-old Spanish girl, the sole survivor of ; a ship-wreck, is tossed upon the | beach of a South Sea Island, where | she thrives. Some years later Mr. I and Mrs. Graham are wrecked near the same spot. Mrs. Graham is rescued, but her husband is cast ashore upon the island and lost sight of. , Nina discovers Graham's unconscious j ! body on the beach, and ultimately, 1 | believing hi s wife to be dead, and deeming that they must remain qn the island for ever, Graham marries j Nina. He recites the ceremony, making Nina repeat the formula of the. ritual after him. They are supreme- ! Iy happy until Graham's wife unex- ' pectedly returns to search for her husband. There is a re-union of the Grahams, and Nina, seeing the meeting, throws herself over a cliff.
